ACTap CEO ADENIYI EKINE NOMINATED FOR 2019 ANTENNA AWARDS IN EIGHT CATEGORIES

The Founder and CEO of the Australia Community Theatre & Talents Practitioners Incorporated (ACTap), Adeniyi Ekine is among hundreds of nominees for 2019 Antenna Awards as The Best Culturally and/or Linguistically Diverse Personality.
2019 Antenna Awards is to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Community Television in Australia, these awards celebrate Australia’s diversity and bring together the best in new talent from a wide range of communities, cultures, interests and perspectives.
Ekine was deemed suitable for the nominations of eight different awards based on his achievements and successes as the first Nigerian to hold television broadcast licence in Australia since 2015 and also the first Nigerian in Australia to be recognised and awarded as an Ambassador for Peace.
Number 1 African Australian multicultural human rights program, "Our Community Lives" (TV Show) showing weekly on Channel 31 (C31) produced, hosted, directed and edited by Adeniyi Ekine qualified him to be nominated in eight categories as; Best Culturally and/or Linguistically Diverse Personality, Best Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Program, Outstanding Direction in a Program, Outstanding Sound in a Program, Outstanding Editing in a Program, Outstanding Camera Work in a Program, Outstanding Contribution to Community by a Program and Program of the Year.
The 2019 Antenna Awards will be held on Saturday, 5th October 2019 at Deakin Edge in Melbourne’s Federation Square, Australia and are attended by over 450 representatives from the community television sector, the film and television industry, local business and local, state and federal governments.
Over 120 new, locally produced programs are created by a team of over 4000 volunteers each week for airing on community television in over 20 languages.

Adeniyi Ekine is an Ambassador For Peace with the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) an NGO in general consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (UN), a father, disability community health support social worker, multi talented media consultant, film maker, mentor, role model, motivator, evangelist, documentary and film producer and director, TV/Radio broadcaster, journalist, public speaker/personality, information communication technology (ICT) expert, comedian, singer, dramatist, dancer, author, human rights activist, anti corruption, anti-terrorist, interpreter, translator, subtitler, entrepreneur, educator, just to name a few.
