AUSTRALIAN COMMUNITY TALENTS CELEBRATED AND REWARDED AT FESTIVAL OF TALENTS AND ACTap AWARDS 2019

Australian Ambassadors for Peace Promote Peace and Wellbeing through Performing Arts – Melbourne, Australia 12 October, 2019

Ambassador for Peace Adeniyi Ekine has been holding performing arts for peace events in Melbourne for over four years now. Mr Ekine is the founder and CEO of the Australia Community Theatre & Talents Practitioners Incorporation (ACTap). He was supported by Ambassadors for Peace - Ms Taniya Jay - Executive Director ACTap and Mr Lio Ale. The mission is to promote multiculturalism, unity, peace, welfare and to be an advocacy body for performing arts talent in Australia. The 2019 event was magnificent and was in partnership with the Universal Peace Federation. The festival showcased multicultural talent in a family friendly event.

The objective of the talents awards night is to showcase, recognise, celebrate and award the talents, most significantly to educate them on their legal rights concerning their intellectual properties and to support the mental health of artists from diverse communities. For example, people living with disabilities, Indigenous Aboriginals, new arrivals from continents of Africa, Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Oceania, refugees, asylum seekers, young people, regional and rural Victorians, and socially isolated and disadvantaged people in our community.
